MEGlobal - Fort Saskatchewan & Prentiss Alberta Accessibility Assessment & Report
IBD was hired to focus on MEGlobal’s administrative structures, providing a comprehensive accessibility assessment. We delivered a benchmark accessibility score, illuminating the current state of the facilities. Our report highlighted key areas requiring attention, offering prioritized recommendations to enhance accessibility. This collaboration underscored our mutual commitment to fostering an environmnet where every individual can access and thrive.
OxFord Properties - Bow Valley Square Accessibility Assessment & Report
In partnership with OxFord Properties, IBD was brought in to assess the various public spaces and floors of Bow Valley Square. Our thorough review resulted in a benchmarked accessibility score. Beyond identifying areas of concern, our report presented OxFord with prioritized recommendations, ensuring their commitment to an inclusive environment remains at the forefront of their property management goals.
METAFOR - Petrofina Basis of Design
IBD to the lead in creating a comprehensive Basis of Design, setting the foundation for the project’s accessibility features. This Basis of Design document was crafted to ensure various accessibility standards and requirements were met that were in-line with the MLI Select credit progarm through CMHC. Being involved from the beginning within the necessary design charrettes was a privilege and ensured we were aligned with the goals and objectives of the client.
Glenbow Museum Reimagined - DIALOG Accessibility Sub-Consultant
Included by Design was brought in by DIALOG as the accessibility sub-consultant for the Glenbow Museum’s renovation, aligning with their belief that ‘Art is for Everyone’. This project goes beyond a typical transformation, focusing on radical accessibility and inclusivity in both exterior and interior spaces. Ensuring a design that doesn’t limit any visitor’s experience is crucial. The newly imagined Glenbow Museum will provide a world-class experience for all patrons, reflecting its high caliber programming and exhibitions, without compromising on accessibility and inclusivity.
WinSport Daylodge Accessibility Assessment & Design Plan
Included by Design played a crucial role in the WinSport Daylodge funding application, conducting an expedited accessibility assessment and delivering a incisive report outlining various aspects. This detailed report spotlighted the current accessibility and inclusion deficiencies, contributing to securing a $25 million grant for a substantial $40 million renovation. This project stands as a testament to Included by Design’s commitment to enhancing accessibility, reinforcing operational procedures, and streamlining project delivery for optimal client satisfaction.
Canada Lands Company - Griesbach Village Accessibility Consultant
In the hearth of the innovative Griesbach Village development project, Included by Design emerged as the lead Accessibility Consultant, championing enhanced path and navigation systems. Our focus lay on ensuring seamless, inclusive wayfinding and navigation for all residents, transcending the barriers of varied abilities. Beyon conventional accessibility tasks, we confronted multifaceted challenges encompassing landscape design, budgeting and value engineering, and implementation of design recommendations. Through thoughtful collaboration with all project stakeholders and consultants IBD was able to unravel these complexities, paving the way for equitable, feasible solutions without compromising the projects ambitions.
Mount Royal University Recreation Accessibility Assessment & Report
Included by Design collaborated with Mount Royal University to conduct a meticulous accessibility assessment on their Recreation building. This collaboration aimed to enhance accessibility of their facilities, ensuring an inclusive environment for students, staff, and visitors. Our comprehenisve report offered a benchmark accessibility score, highlighting and prioritizing areas for enhancement. Recommendations were provided to address these concerns, outlining a strategic path towards improved accessibility and inclusivity allowing everyone to fully engage in the recreational activities the university offers. The insights shared not only facilitate immediate improvemnts but also contribute to long-term goal of universal accessibility across the campus.
Mount Royal University G-Wing Renovation - DIALOG Accessibility Sub-consultant
Included by Design was brought in to be the accessibility sub-consultant for the renovation of the G-Wing at Mount Royal University, working alongside DIALOG Design. This project is a comprehensive overhaul, aiming to revitalize and repurpose significant areas including the vacant library space, and enhance the existing Main Street corridor. Our role emphasizes ensuring general accessibility, optimizing interior layout, and offering insightful wayfinding suggestions. This will facilitate seamless navigation for students, faculty, and the public, aligning with theproject’s goal to activate exterior spaces and establish a student-centric environment. Our involvement underscores our commitment to rectifying accessibility and inclusion gaps in academic institutions, making them welcoming spaces for all.
